The first original Tamil film on the theme of an affair between a boy and an older woman is in the making.

Well-known actress Simran will star in it. She will be the object of a boy's passion in the film titled "Kichchaa Vayadhu 16" (Kichchaa's Age Is 16).

This is also reportedly the first film offer Simran has accepted after her marriage.

There have recently been several Tamil remakes on the theme.

One of these was the dubbed version of Hindi film "Chhoti si Baat", starring Manisha Koirala and telling the story of a boy's infatuation to a woman. It was titled "Oru Chinna Love Story" in Tamil.

Another Hindi film on the theme to be dubbed in Tamil was "Meera, Age 45".

A recent Kannada film on the theme, "Baru Baru Rasika", with Ramya Krishnan as the woman, is to be dubbed in Tamil and released under the title "Vaa Vaadaaa Manmathaa".
