After Koffee with Karan, it's time for Toffee with Charan! The MTV show spoofs the chat show hosted by Karan Johar. Even the sets look similar while host VJ Jose Covaco imitates KJo.

However Jose feigns ignorance and maintains that he hasn't heard about the original. "Is there a show of that name? You have drawn my attention to it. Otherwise, I was not aware of it."

No rapidfire rounds

He then gets serious and reveals more, "I was grilled in 'Roadies' style before getting the job of the host. It's pure coincidence that my show resembles Karan's.

But there are no mugs or rapidfire rounds. But we never know they might be incorporated in coming episodes."

Coincidentally, Jose's first stint as a VJ was to interview the producer-director. "He's such an intelligent well-spoken guy. I was literally shaking when I knew I had to interview him.

I have tremendous respect for him and Koffee With Karan is a fantastic show. It's entertaining but smart and witty at the same time."

The guest list on Toffee With Charan includes the likes of Farsh Chopra and Garam Paaji. "They will reveal their darkest secrets.

I can't give out the entire list, but yes we do have an exciting mix of guests coming on the show, " adds Jose.

Toffee with Charan airs on MTV from December 19.
