in the broad day light, contrary to established setups in the night. When it comes to Genre of Horror, all scary creatures
used to come out only in the night to frighten. But the Director Wilson Louis has broken the myth
With this film which was adjudged the Best Horror Film in the recently held Horror Film Festival in South Africa.
The main lead character is portrayed by Swini Khara who came to lime light with her Sexy role in Amitabh Bachchan starrer
Cheeni Kam. In this film she is playing girl Sona into whose body a witch Kaloo has entered and taken residence.
Hundreds of years ago witchery/witchcraft was practiced heavily in Europe, Africa and Asia. It has been found that between 11th
and 19th century as many as 9 million (90 lac) women, suspected witches with supernatural powers, were mercilessly killed in
these regions. In India, eastern and northern India had witnessed many incidents of witchcrafts and witch-hunts.
Every such incident had a story. Kaalo's story is inspired by one such folktale about a Witch named Kaalo.
