Here is one lesson the former Miss World and current Bollywood aspirant Diana Hayden forgot, which she learnt at the glittering stage, how to be polite at a public appearance.
At a press conference held to promote her forthcoming film 'Ab Bas', which deals with infidelity, Diana made a vicious slur against the stronger sex saying, "Every second Indian male has been leading an adulterous life since time immemorial."
Though it caused few smiles at the meet but obviously everyone wasn't laughing.
A Delhi-based lawyer took a serious note of Hayden's "slanderous comment" and served her a legal notice claiming that her remark has caused a rift in his married life, adversely influenced his friends' wives and tarnished the image of the Indian married man.
The notice issued also charges, "The statement (made by you) is mischievous and seems to have been made to gain cheap publicity (for your film). It is wholly irresponsible and thus per se defamatory. You are a celebrity and have an added responsibility of being cautious."
The legal notice asks for an apology from the actress within three days from or else face an imminent legal damage suit.
Diana, on the other hand, stands by every single word she has said.
"I have spoken the truth. In fact, if you ask an average Indian male, he would tend to agree with me. Big industrialists and other luminaries have asked me for sexual favours. Believe it or not but, I was even approached by a foreign country president," she retorts.
However, she did not disclose any names.
