According to reports in the media, the new reality series on Sony is inspired from the English television show 'Wife Swap'. But keeping in mind the tastes of the Indian TV audience, the English program was adopted in India with a minor change.
As the name suggests, wives were exchanged between different families in the reality series 'Wife Swap'. Similarly it will be married mothers and sometimes also husbands who will be interchanged between families in 'Maa Exchange'.
Though Apara Mehta is not prepared to divulge details of her participation in the show as of yet, only saying that she would think about the offer because her hands are no more full with work, Sudesh Berry has confirmed that he has given his nod to be part of 'Maa Exchange'.
The reality shows begins airing in the first week of the New Year. A total of 11 TV personalities will participate in 'Maa Exchange'.
Apart from Sudesh Berry and Apara Mehta, Pooja Bedi is also a contestant on 'Maa Exchange'. In fact it is Pooja Bedi who will become the first celebrity to be swapped when the reality show begins playing on television.
