Bollywood superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan have reportedly been concerned about the mass illiteracy that still exists in India despite the nation having achieved so much of global success in other areas of life.

Reports suggest that this awareness about the illiteracy rate still being so alarming in India was brought to the notice of the two stalwarts of cinema due to the efforts put in by the Oscar winning sound engineer Resul Pookuty's foundation which deals with this problem in the rural areas of India.

Reports suggest that Big B has been extending a great helpful hand in the project to help the Resul Pookuty foundation in this respect by helping out with funds and also spreading a lot of love and goodness.

The other star Shahrukh Khan too had come to know about the fact of so much illiteracy in the country during the shooting schedule of his home production RA.ONE. Thus even he has come up to join hands to help the Oscar winning Resul Pookuty with his project which will be a great boost to the well meaning project and thereby help in education quite a large population.

Reports are that the sound engineer also had the support of Judi Dench who was quite stricken by the state of affairs in most rural parts of the country while shooting for her film in Rajasthan, and she promised to help him in whatever way he wanted.

This very noble cause to eradicate illiteracy and thus poverty from the country is certainly gaining a lot of momentum with big names ready to extend their helping hands.
