Tanuja Chandra is looking forward to the release of "Film Star", which she completed four months ago.

According to Tanuja, the producers, Sahara One Motion Pictures, have not announced a release date, reports Bollywood Trade.

"I was first told that the film was being lined up for a November release. The promos had already begun but now it appears that it will have to wait for a few more weeks. The apparent problem is that Sahara has a good number of releases. They now appear to have prioritised another film, 'Inteqam - The Perfect Game'. 'Film Star' will have to wait," she said.

Tanuja pointed out that directing the film (which tells the story of an actress going through a lean patch in her career and who stumbles upon a convict's story) was a great experience.

"It's the smallest budgeted film I have ever directed but it was a great experience. Only one wishes that it releases in time," she said.
