After a Dubai-based realty firm used Minissha Lamba's name for promoting their property, the Bollywood actor has denied
being party to any such project.
She said that her name was being unnecessarily dragged into the Rs 11.5 crore property scam.
Minissha's and Hollywood actor Tara Reid's names were used by four Indians who designed the promotional material for the
housing project by Santorini Development, which claimed that they had bought homes in the project.
But Minissha said she had nothing to do with it.
"I have no clue how something like this has happened. Forget about buying property in Dubai, I have not even entertained the
notion yet.
It is a sad state of affairs when people are duped out of their hard-earned money like this, " she said, exclusively to MiD DAY.
Currently, 12 investors are locked in a legal battle against the four for swindling them out of 9.3 million dirhams
(Rs 11.5 crore).
Out of the four accused, Sanjay Jayantilal Mehta, Naresh Mehta and Ankur Mehta have been sentenced to prison for three
years for tricking investors.
