The serial highlighted the social evil of selling a girl child to raise money for the rest of the family.
It showcased the struggle of 17-year-old Lalli, played by Ratan Rajput, and her optimism about life, her courage and compassion when it came to rescuing her family from hunger and abject poverty.
"I'll miss shooting with my co-stars, who have become as close to me as my own family, " said Ratan.
Abhishek Rawat, who essayed Shekhar, said: "I'm feeling very nostalgic that the show is coming to an end as I have some wonderful memories playing the role of Shekhar. I owe all my success to this show and to Zee TV. I thank the viewers for all the adulation we received. The crew and cast have become like family to me and I'm going to miss working with them."
"Agle Janam.." will be replaced by second season of Zee TV's another popular show "Chhoti Bahu", which goes on air Feb 15.
