Ranbir Kapoor has a knack of keeping his slate clean after the end of a relationship, so much so that he ends up being close friends with his ex-girlfriends' current love-interest.
Take Siddharth Mallya. Kapoor and Mallya are apparently very fond of one another's company and meet without any sense of being awkward with each other.
Although Mallya is now dating Kapoor's ex, actor Deepika Padukone, the two are absolutely comfortable with each other and enjoy one another's company.
Says a source, "Ranbir may not have too many close friends, but he thinks Siddharth is a really chilled-out guy. They're both into gizmos and cars and they enjoy the same sports."
What's interesting is that this isn't the first time Kapoor has befriended his ex girlfriend's current flame.
He did the same with Imran Khan, who recently married Avantika Malik, who Kapoor was with for a while. Now Kapoor and Khan are good friends.
In fact, Kapoor wanted to attend Khan and Malik's wedding in January.
Says a source, "Ranbir was shooting in Dharamsala on the day of the Imran-Avantika wedding but he made every effort to make it for the occasion. "
There's absolutely no ill-will between Ranbir and Imran over what happened in the past."
"It's uncannily similar to the situation that Siddharth Anand created for Kapoor's character in the film Bachna Ae Haseenon, where the actor attends a wedding, bringing the girl he once deserted and her husband together."
