It seems there can never be enough of Amitabh Bachchan, with a book on the superstar being
re-launched in paperback Saturday after an overwhelming response to the first edition.
Two years ago the book "To Be or Not To Be Amitabh Bachchan" was presented and released on the
superstar's 60th birthday.
"I had promised myself and the team that we would work on a paperback edition if the book met with a
positive response," says Jaya Bachchan.
And since that happened, here comes the paperback edition.
"This would make the book accessible to a wider readership because of its reduced price and also serve as
an update of the events and films of the last two years," says Jaya.
"To Be Or Not To Be Amitabh Bachchan" will be released Saturday, the birthday of the late Bachchan's
poet-father Harivanshrai Bachchan. The objective of the paperback is to make the book accessible to a wider
readership because of its reduced price.
The updated, paperback edition with 24 additional pages and many more pictures looks at the life and craft of
the actor who has been at the forefront of Indian cinema for well over three decades, with a roster of over 100
films.
A lavishly illustrated, comprehensive study of the actor's trajectory, this volume almost reflects the course
that film culture has taken from the 1970s right to this day.
Key features of the book include the actor photographed in various moods and candid moments.
