Major cinematic landmarks created by Dev Anand will soon be made available on worldwide net following
an agreement between his Navketan Films International and Cinema on Web (COW).
COW is a technology developed by Al Mason and jointly owned by Banad Viswanath of ITV.
COW said Anand's blockbusters such as "Guide", "Jewel Thief", "Hare Rama Hare Krishna" and "Kala Pani"
will be made available on www.cinemaonweb.com as part of its pay-per-view package.
The company said it expects over 500 million pay-per-view customer traffic during 2005-2007.
Actor and director Anand, who visited New York recently, tells: "Navketan produced some of the gems
of Hindi cinema. It is only natural that we use new technology to extend their reach."
According to the website, Anand's movies are available for 90 cents per viewing. The section advertising his
films also has a category inviting aspiring actors to post their resumes to appear in his films.
In the past five years, the Internet has emerged as a major distribution channel for movies worldwide.
