Salman Khan found a song in Ready, Anees Bazmi's film resonate with his life, so he decided to choreograph it.
Shooting for the song in Bangkok, Khan apparently got floored when he heard the lyrics, 'Main karoon toh character saaala dheela hai' (roughly translated it means, If I do it, then my character is to blame).
Says a source from the film, "When we heard the lyrics, we thought they were naughty, provocative and apt for Khan's personality. We never thought he'd take to the song in such a big way."
According to the source, Bazmi, who is otherwise strict about protocol, could not refuse Khan. He says, "We had a well-known choreographer for the song. But Khan just took over, arguing with Aneesbhai that this was a song that expressed his attitude to life and the way people reacted to him. He wanted to convey the body language that came naturally to him."
While choosing not to comment on Khan taking over as the choreographer, Bazmi did confirm that Khan had taken a great liking to the song.
"When Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the song, we thought it was a masti-filled number that would suit Khan's personality. We never knew Khan would identify so closely with it. The number says how anything Khan does becomes a tamasha, while the same thing done by someone else is okay." "It expresses why he's controversy's favourite child, " Bazmi says.
