Sony Entertainment is to usher in the New Year with the Shah Rukh Khan-Preity Zinta blockbuster "Kal
Ho Na Ho" for which it has acquired satellite rights.
The film, to be screened on Dec 31, is expected to fetch record sponsors, reports Bollywood Trade. "It is
definitely a big acquisition for Sony Entertainment," said Tarun Katiyal, CEO (programming) at Sony
Entertainment.
Sony is said to have acquired the telecast rights of the film at an unheard of price. "All I can say is that the
price is a formidable one," Katiyal said. Other recent acquisitions of Sony include "Masti", "Murder",
"Bardasht" and "Garv".
