Salman Khan returned home from Panvel early on Wednesday morning to throw an impromptu cricket party for friends and family at a restobar in Bandra.

This despite acknowledging that he does not follow the game as actively as the rest of B-Town. In fact, the actor was supposed to be far keener on pumping iron while at his Panvel farmhouse.

Bigger place

Says a source, "He suddenly organised the bash considering he's never been much interested in cricket before. May be he heard Shah Rukh was having a party and wanted to counter that.

Normally, Sallu has his parties at home but the space at the restobar is bigger and he had invited lots of people. So, he couldn't have it at home."

The star even left the venue halfway to pick up his dad Salim Khan as he wanted him to also be part of the celebrations.
