The actor watches match at home instead of the stadium due to an old toe injury that came back to haunt him An old injury
came back to haunt Shah Rukh Khan, putting paid to his plans of watching the World Cup 2011 finals live at the Wankhede
Stadium in Mumbai.
Says a source, "SRK had secured 20-plus tickets close to the players pavilion for his friends." All was well until an old toe
injury got aggravated.
"He has recently been shooting a lot of action sequences for Don 2. Then, on Thursday, he stepped on his toe while
shooting for an ad."
Yet, he continued shooting quietly despite being in obvious pain. "It was only later when the toe swelled up to twice its size
that people on the sets realised that something had happened.
A doctor was called on the set, ice packs and cold compresses were administered and painkillers given. Khan completed
the shoot and left."
"Though his toe had healed since then, he decided not to watch the match at the stadium. He didn't want to take a chance.
Disappointed, he gave away the tickets to his close friends and watched the match at home."
Later that night, he went to his Don 2 producer Ritesh Sidhwani's home to party.
