The shooting for Yash Raj Films' "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan", which is being filmed behind the Taj Mahal, was briefly halted Thursday after reports of extensive damage to the greenery in the protected heritage complex.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) stopped the shooting at Mehtab Bagh in the morning. However, after a high-level meeting of district officials and the film unit members, permission was given to resume the shooting.

"It was necessary to tell them the limits. A stern warning had to be given. Now they have been told that the norms have to be followed strictly. Any deviation would invite ASI intervention, " Indu Dhar Dwivedi, superintending archaeologist of ASI's Agra circle, told.

The film, starring Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan, was being shot in and around the Taj Mahal for the past three days.
