Actor Pankaj Kapur, who has essayed some of the most challenging roles on screen, is planning to turn director but doesn't know yet whether son Shahid will figure in it.

The don of "Maqbool" is currently working on the script of his directorial debut, which he plans to launch in the middle of next year, reports Bollywood Trade.

"The film has a very unique story but I would not like to say anything much at this juncture," he says.

Is he considering casting his son Shahid? "I wouldn't know. I may or may not depending on how the characters eventually shape up in the script," says the father of the "Fida" star noncommittally.
