Mika was called by music director Pritam in the middle of the night to record a song for Pankaj Kapur's Mausam. The singer did not expect to meet the director and son Shahid Kapoor (who stars in the film) at the venue.

Mika says, "I was glad to know that they are so involved in the music." The crooner was also floored by the senior Kapoor's Punjabi.

"When the father-son duo are together you have to hear them talk! Pankajji, who has been in Mumbai for decades, still has an amazing command of the language. It was a pleasure speaking to him and in a dialect that's almost fading now."
