Bhatt has already prepared a Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English version of the film. The Spanish version of the project is a new brainwave which hit Vikram after a market research revealed a 'horrific' truth.
Says Vikram, "We discovered that there is a huge market for horror films in the Spanish/Latin American belt. And we want to tap that market. "
After a ready market for horror was discovered the plan was to get Haunted subtitled into Spanish.
But that was not possible.
Explains Vikram, "We discovered it was really really tough to do subtitles in a 3D film. It's much easier to dub it. "
Vikram flies to Toronto next month to select the dubbing artistes and to do the voices for the Spanish version of Haunted. "I want the voices in Spanish to match with the original voices of my actors. So what if the Spanish audience wouldn't be able to tell the difference? I would. "
The dubbed Spanish version of Haunted will release two months after the Hindi film.
