Anil Kapoor's latest avatar is not getting him many fans... at least at his home. Though his wife is cool about his onscreen romps with Sameera Reddy but his daughters have refused to see the film.
"My wife was cool, she understands that it is just a job but nobody wants to see their dad smooching or flirting with other women," alleges the veteran star and adds, "The kiss with Sameera wasn't a big deal at all. It really isn't that long a kiss. I have had longer kissing scenes in Pinjar or 1942 A Love Story. Because the theme of Musafir is sexual in nature I think, the kiss gets more prominence."
Packaged as a very slick film Musafir breaks the new ground as far as depictions of oomph and style is concerned.
According to Anil: "The film has a sensual undertone. It's primarily shot in Goa which itself is a sexual place.
We have tried to capture that kind of lust, passion that is evoked in Goa in the film. As for style, I've primarily worn my own clothes for the film. Sanjay Dutt was also heavily involved with the costumes. One of Sameera's jeans in the film are actually mine — they were an old pair that were too tight for me."
Ask him if he is becoming obsolete for the new genre of Hind cinema and he retorts," Bollywood doesn't really have any real actors. So as long as that need exists, there will always be roles for me."
