Producer Shabbir Boxwalla, who has made "Dil Ka Rishta", says he has not abandoned the project which Naseeruddin Shah is to direct.

A year has passed since Boxwalla decided that Naseer would direct a film, but the cast has yet to be finalized. Naseer reportedly had reservations about bowing to the dictates of stars, and Boxwalla decided to keep the project on hold, reports Bollywood Trade.

"But there is no question of calling off the film. We will very much go ahead with it next year," said Boxwalla. He said Naseer is busy with a number of Hollywood commitments and is unlikely to find time until mid-2005.

"We plan to start the film soon after that. In all probability, it will star new faces," he added.
