Aamir Khan calls up Ekta Kapoor with a personal request

Ekta Kapoor has always considered Aamir Khan to be her idol. So when her cell phone rang flashing his name she was mighty surprised.

Aamir made a courtesy call to Ekta requesting her to attach the first theatrical of his production Delhi Belly with her Ragini MMS that releases this week.

The usually reticent actor took out time to dial the Balaji head honcho and put in a word for his film.

This must be quite an honour for Ekta, considering that Aamir is extremely choosy about the marketing techniques used for his films.

A source reveals, "Ekta was pleasantly surprised when she got Aamir's call. She's a huge fan of his work and has always looked up to him.

They spoke at length and discussed films. Aamir was very keen on attaching Delhi Belly promo with Ragini MMS because he felt that both the films represent the new age cinema genre.

Even though the subject matter of the films is different, they both agreed that the films would bridge a common audience."

When contacted Ekta confirms, "Aamir is my idol. Yes, I have agreed to attach the Delhi Belly promo with Ragini MMS."
