Twice in one day while in Gulbarga, Karnataka

Adnan Sami recently spent more time than needed at a police station while in Gulbarga, Karnataka. He wasn't booked for anything, though!

So why was he there? Informs a source, "Adnan visited Gulbarga for a show. But as soon as he landed, instead of heading towards his hotel room, he had to pay a visit to the local police station.

He has to report to the police in every city that he visits as per his new visa extension.

Since the police station was heavily crowded, Adnan was asked to wait. He patiently waited on a bench in the company of policemen till his turn came."

It was a completely new experience. He says, "I respect that certain procedures are to be followed and I will do whatever needs to be done.

I introduced myself to the local police and informed them that I had arrived for a concert. They were very hospitable, warm and cordial to me for the 40 minutes I was there."

Securing the event

Sami adds. "Then in the evening I met the same cops at the concert as they were providing security for the event.

They were all very excited about my performance and asked me what kind of songs I was to sing. At the show, I performed to a crowd of over a lakh. The people loved the show."
