Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba, who was detained at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday, was grilled for 16 hours by the Customs.

According to reports on Thursday, Customs officials questioned the actor for 16 hours over not declaring gold and diamond jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

"She (Lamba) was allowed to go at 1 am after 16 hours of questioning. We recorded her statement. She may be called today as well, " a Customs official told media on Thursday.

The actor was detained on her return from Cannes International Film Festival in France by EK-504 Emirates flight on Wednesday.
