Pakistan's famous cross-dressing TV host Begum Nawazish Ali aka Ali Saleem, who was a contestant in India's top reality show 'Bigg Boss', landed in a police lock-up in Islamabad for allegedly beating up his mother.
The 'Begum' was locked up in Bhara Kahu police station in the federal capital after his mother Farzana Saleem filed a complaint yesterday.
Farzana, who suffered a fractured nose and other injuries, said that her son, who was "drunk", beat her up after she refused to give him Rs 10 million, a police spokesman said.
Ali Saleem's medical examination was conducted at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and officials declared he was drunk. Police registered an FIR under the Prohibition Act.
