Has superstar Shah Rukh Khan decided not to perform in public after the explosion at his concert in
Colombo?
Khan is reported to be heartbroken after the incident last week and has told a friend that he was considering
stopping performing in concerts.
Eastern Eye , a leading British Asian weekly, quoted a source close to Khan as saying, "He is really shaken
up by the incident and is devastated that his fans had to suffer at the hands of terrorists.
"He is putting on a brave face in public because he has to be strong but privately he is feeling lower than ever
and says this has made him question whether it is all worth it."
Khan was on tour with the Temptations concert since August, and was performing his penultimate dance act
from blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham when a grenade attack took place.
The concert, tipped the biggest musical extravaganza to take place in Sri Lanka this year, sparked outrage
from Buddhist monks who were upset that the show was allowed to go ahead despite coinciding with the first
death anniversary of one of their priests, Gangodawila Soma.
Two people were killed in the blast and at least 18 were injured.
