Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's return as the host of "Khatron Ke Khiladi" has worked wonders! The opening episode of the fourth season of the show has garnered the maximum ratings than all its previous seasons.

The show generated a Television Rating Point (TRP) of 3.7, according to data provided by rating agency Audience Measurement and Analytics Ltd (aMap)aMap.

The show, an Indianised version of action-adventure show "Fear Factor", was launched June 3.

"With the return of Khiladi Akshay Kumar, season four got the highest of the ratings compared to previous three seasons, " Jiniti Shah, vice president, aMap, said in a press statement.

The premiere episode of the third season, hosted by Priyanka Chopra recieved a much lower TRP of 2.4.

The debut episodes of the first and second seasons - both of which were hosted by Akshay, had recieved ratings of 1.6 and 2.9 respectively.

The fourth season was shot in Cape Town, and features female celebrities from showbiz as well as other fields, each paired with a male participant.
