"Tarzaan - the Wonder Car may not have done as well as we expected it to, but I have got a lot of attention and popularity because of the film. Sometimes, that is more important than box office returns. And perhaps it is because of Tarzaan, I landed up in the plum projects like 'Dil Maange More'," she says.
A firm believer in the destiny Ayesha is also playing a lead role in 'Socha Na Tha', the launch vehicle for Abhay Deol, Sunny Deol's cousin.
According to her: "If I am destined to work with the best in the film industry, then that is how it will happen. I love doing glamorous and mushy roles. I have my limitations and will be guided by those in whatever I choose to do in future."
Ask her if there's someone special she is looking forward to work with and she yells SRK in no time.
"I grew up hoping to marry Shahrukh Khan. As a child I wanted to impress him so that one day he would fall in love with me. I was willing to die for him. Even today I would love to work with Shahrukh but I know that opportunity will come only if and when destiny allows it," says Ayesha.
"But that was the way I felt when I was a kid! Things are different now that I am more mature. Professionally speaking I admire both Shahrukh and Aamir. Besides the two Khans, there are other Bollywood stars who mean a lot to me," she adds in a diplomatic tune.
