Aishwarya Rai had a tough professional year and perhaps even the tougher personal one. Unable to taste any success at box-office, she had to face a lot of flak from her critics on the topics widely ranging from her choice of work to the kind of clothes she wears.

However, on the personal front, her relationship with Vivek remained under strict media scrutiny throughout the year and the prying eyes did manage to play havoc when they broke the stories about Vivek and Ash parting ways.

Like that wasn't enough, a political magazine came up with a story that Anil Ambani has developed more than a passing interest in the ravishing Rai and so much so that marriage plans are being discussed.

Such a slanderous gossiping left Aishwarya completely aghast and she finally broke her silence.

Venting her ire on such baseless report the Bollywood queen says, "When I learnt of it, I went through a mixture of emotions. I rarely met him. The last we met was at Bharat Shah's birthday bash, and we were sitting at a table with Tina and others. I was taken aback. I was also shocked to learn that I had a prenuptial agreement of crores of rupees with him. Hello, is it me they are talking about?"

She also rubbishes the stories about her break-up with Vivek and claims, "Have I ever spoken about my personal life? People want me to react to their assumptions and I shall not be a partner to this." Marriage? "I'm living the moment now. Life will unfold what it has in store."

According to her: "The source and reason for the attacks are so obvious. People can always tell the difference between genuine and orchestrated criticism. Thankfully, my fans have been supportive. God has been kind," she adds in the same breath.

So next time you hear something nasty about Ms Rai, don't believe it in a jiffy. Right Ash?
