Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan Saturday said the frequent fuel price hikes mostly affect the people in the lower income group,
who then find it hard to make ends meet.
"Well, I think that the price hike affects people living in the lower income group most. Then the middle class and the lower middle
class who are economically in the poor class get badly affected," said Aamir to a query about how the fuel price hike is affecting
him.
Aamir was in the city to attend a promotional event of the Bengali version of game show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", being
hosted by former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly.
The government Friday announced a hike in the price of diesel by Rs.3 per litre, kerosene by Rs.2 a litre and LPG by Rs.50 per
cylinder.
