The railway authorities denied permission to shoot the Pankaj Kapur-starrer Chala Mussaddi-Office Office in a train, as a result of which director Rajiv Mehra had to recreate the scenes in a set at ND Studios.

The film is based on the TV series and like the character he essays in it, off-screen too Mussaddi had a sample of government paperwork and clearance.
