At a time when Bollywood is high on sequels, filmmaker Karan Johar wonders whether he should make the sequel to "Student of The Year" even before the first film releases.

"With sequels exploding the box office...maybe I should make STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2....before I make the original!!!(sic) ," the 49-year-old wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.

However, actor Abhishek Bachchan suggested to him to first make the sequel of "Dostana" before working on any other project.

"let's make dostana 2 first please!!!!," Abhishek posted, to which Johar replied: "yes that's a MUST!!! Trust me...I am all set!!!"

"Student...", a rom-com directed by Johar, stars newcomers Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in the lead.
