Wearing an off-white lehenga choli and heavy kundan jewellery, the 28-year-old walked very casually on the ramp, not even close to a catwalk, on the hit song "Senorita" from the film "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" before she started dancing, instilling energy into the show and leaving the audiences asking for more.
Kalki's dance moves made even the other models shake a leg.
"I was quite nervous before I came onto the ramp, but when I heard the song, all my nervousness went away. I would really say that acting is much easier than ramp walking because till the time you don't finish the walk there is so much pressure that it is nerve wracking, " the actress told reporters afterwards.
Kalki showcased few pieces from the collection "Bridal and Heritage" by Kays Jewels Pvt Ltd, which was based on an Indo-Western concept that marries modern trends in jewellery with traditional designs. Rubies, emeralds, diamonds and kundan were all used in the jrwellery pieces that ranged from earrings to chokers and even long necklaces.
Asked what her favourite piece of jewellery was, Kalki, who recently married filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, said: "My wedding ring is very precious to me because it's my grandmother's wedding ring that has been passed down to me."
However, Kalki, who made her debut in Bollywood with "Dev D." expressed that she isn't too much into jewellery.
"Personally I don't wear much jewellery because my clothes are usually casual, so it doesn't go with that, " she informed.
