If all goes as planned, Bollywood-weary Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi may just agree to direct 'Chillar Party 2'

Unhappy with the Bollywood adaptation of his film Children Of Heaven (2010 box-office dud Bumm Bumm Bole directed by Priyadarshan), internationally renowned filmmaker Majid Majidi didn't think twice before turning down the offer to direct Chillar Party, which was released last month.

However, according to sources, the Iranian maestro of children's films may just take on its sequel.

Confirms Vikas Bahl, co-writer/co-director of Chillar Party, "Majid Majidi was the first person I took my story of the Chillar Party to.

He loved it, but he somehow convinced me to direct it. He gave me a lot of suggestions during its making. However, I'm hoping with the sequel, things work out. "

Some of the children's films Majidi is best known for include The Willow Tree and Baran, besides the Oscar-nominated Children Of Heaven.
