She maybe good friends with Sanjay Dutt, but the Kagna Ranaut has apparently decided to make her career choices more professionally.
The actress, who was offered both Ram Gopal Varma's Department (which has Sanju in the lead) and Vishal Bharadwaj's Ishqiya sequel, opted for the latter when she learnt the films were to go on the floors the same time.
An industry source reveals, "Kangna has her diary full, and she was facing a clash of dates with the Ishqiya sequel and Department.
Though she tried her best, she couldn't accommodate both the films and had to let go of one. Since she is a big fan of Vishal Bhardwaj and Abhishek Chaubey (the director), she chose Ishqiya.
Plus, she has very strong, performance-oriented role in it. Kangna is very glad to bag the film, which a lot of other top actresses were also vying for."
The source adds further, "Thought she has opted out of Department, it's not on a bad note. She has great respect for Sanjay Dutt and Ram Gopal Varma and she hopes to work with them in the future.
For Department, there were only verbal talks and nothing was on paper as such. But Ramu was gracious enough to let her go without any problems." Kangna was not available for comment.
