"I am producing 'Final Promise'. It is an Indian film, but it is going to be for an international market, so I regard it as an international film. I'm also looking at the possibility of doing a co-production with Canada for another script which I liked a lot, " Bedi told at the ongoing 64th Locarno International Film Festival.
The 65-year-old, who joined the film industry to become a filmmaker, has no regrets about fulfilling his long cherished dream after so many decades in the industry.
"I was seduced by acting, " said the actor, who initially worked with advertising agency Lintas and then went on to do Indian and international acting assignments.
"I had a fabulous time in my journey as an actor. My acting journey took me to Bollywood, Europe and other parts of the world. I worked in the film industry and I have been to some fantastic places and have met some incredible people. I hope it all comes together for the production of 'Final Promise', " he said.
What about directing his first production venture?
"I'm open on the issue of directing it. I could direct it in my sleep as I have written it. It's a theme of reincarnation. It's a completely Indian story with Indian actors... It may have one foreign actor but not in a major role. It's an Indian story with a universal appeal, " said the actor.
