With BLACK now being re-scheduled for a February 4 release, there is a state of uncertainty about the other
February releases. The choice for the distributors of these films is between releasing their films against
BLACK or the one-day cricket matches that are scheduled later during the month.
"I'd prefer that
BEWAFAA does not clash with BLACK since both are big films coming from big directors," says Rakesh
Sippy, Mumbai distributor of BEWAFAA, who is expecting the film to hit the theatres later in February. "It is
just a February release as of now. We'll be finalizing the date soon, depending on the one-day international
matches," adds Sippy, who has great expectations from BEWAFAA.
Meanwhile, Sippy is now looking forward to the release of ELAAN. The film is being released in Mumbai
territory by Shringar but Sippy has acquired the film for Gujarat and Thane circuit keeping in mind the
forthcoming Sankranti festival on January 14. "The Sankranti festival in Gujarat is like Diwali and I am
expecting the film to get an excellent response," he says.
