Actress-turned-director Nandita Das has always extended support to emerging filmmakers and this time is no different.
She will be the chief guest at a ceremony to award the best films shortlisted in an all-
India short film competition held recently by the organisation Citizens For Peace in collaboration with the Shamiana Short Film Club.
The films that will be showcased at a Parel nighspot today (August 18) take up different causes that concern the nation.
Filmmakers like R Balki, Rahul Dholakia and Mahesh Mathai have been part of the
judging process and will be present at the event.
