Bollywood actor Salman Khan will be flying to US to treat Trigeminal Neuralgia, a facial nerve disorder that he is suffering from since the last seven years, reports said on Friday.

According to sources close to the actor, Khan will leave for US for a surgery either on Saturday or Sunday.

Earlier, Khan told an English daily that he can't bear the pain any more.

"I am suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a facial nerve problem I have had since the last seven years. But now, it's getting worse. Ab dard hadd se paar ho gaya hai and I am going to kill it, " Khan told Hindustan Times.

He even underwent an angiography in July.

"Yes I did get an angiography done about a month ago. But it was not for the heart — it was meant to detect this disease. There is a flex and hoarseness in my voice, it's not because I am drunk ... I don't drink during Ramadan ... it's because of this ailment, " said the 45-year actor.

Meanwhile, Khan's next release with Kareena Kapoor-Bodyguard-will hit the theatres this Eid (Aug 31).

Trigeminal Neuralgia (also known as prosopalgia, the Suicide Disease or Fothergill's disease) is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face, originating from the trigeminal nerve.

It has been described as among the most painful conditions known. The pain may be felt in the ear, eye, lips, nose, scalp, forehead, cheeks, teeth, or jaw and side of the face.
