If all goes as planned, actor Shahid Kapoor will join the met department for a day and be a weather forecaster as part of a marketing strategy to promote his upcoming release "Mausam".

The producers claim to have approached the India Meteorological Department, which gives the daily weather forecast across India, to employ Shahid for a day and teach him the tricks of weather forecast.

"'Mausam' is about seasons of love and not exactly about the weather. However, the marketing team came up with this unique idea and everyone just loved it. We are working out the permissions, " actor-turned-director Pankaj Kapoor said in a statement.

Shahid also had the rare experience of flying multirole jet fighter aircraft F-16 to adapt traits of a fighter pilot for his role in "Mausam". He is the only actor to have flown that ultimate flying machine.

"Mausam" is releasing Sep 16.
