Bollywood is known for giving out fresh talent be it actors or musicians. This time the new kid on the block is actor Danny Denzongpa's niece Shivi R Kashyap as she makes her musical debut in Deepa Sahi's upcoming film Tere Mere Phere.

Shivangi Kashyap grew up in the heart of the nature Himalaya; with music streaming in her blood as her father is a composer & mother a classically trained dancer.

"Music is in my genes, " said Kashyap.

The movie was shot in Himachal with very traditional and organic themes. Shivi (as she is fondly called) was mesmerized by the Himalayan theme of the movie which is very close to her heart leaving her happy, excited and enthusiastic as a composer.

Though she is a small town girl but her dreams and aspirations are on Cloud 9.

Before getting the opportunity to work as a composer in TMP she has composed for four Himachali albums and sung many songs and bhajans for T-series.

When we asked her how she got her dream debut, she said, ‘Back in the spring of '10, I got in touch with Mr. Sandesh Sandalya, for whom I have sung 4 songs earlier, was at the time in touch with Mrs Deepa sahi who had just started with her debut film. She instantly struck me as someone with incredible vision for music."

"Himachali folk were to be my thesis, based on her own research on the psychology of region. Mrs. Deepa asked what I envisioned for the film. The choice was tough as Deepaji wanted the music to be mixture of bollywood masala & himachali feel.

"After few demos & my passion for himachali folk music I was chosen as a composer for the film. I had never done anything like that, so it was a great collaborative experience finding the sound of the film and of course the music all come together to create a pleasant atmosphere, " she said.

This also is the first time she is working for bhajan singer Anup Jalota, co-producer of the film.

We asked her whether it is a good time for new comers to enter the industry.

Kashyap said: "Bollywood Music constitutes to at least 50% of the overall film, therefore, it's safe to presume that new talent with fresh ideas will always be welcome in the industry. But It requires persistent work, patience & passion to make your dreams come true. While you aspire, be ready to perspire', believes the young heartthrob."

So how was her overall experience?

She said, "The overall experience has been quite magical & working with deadlines was challenging & fun says the sensational diva. When you have mentor like Ketan Mehta & Deepa Sahi who are encouraging & equally supportive your performance is ready to rock."

The film stars Vinay Pathak, Riya Sen and introducing Jagrat Desai & Sasha Goradia along with Darshan Zariwala & Sushmita Mukherjee. Tere-Mere-Phere' is a light hearted look at marriage trivia. It is all set to release on 30th September.
