Actress Monica Bedi, who emerged from her controversial past few years ago, has now come back to her roots in Punjab as she has signed a Punjabi film, "Sirphire" opposite Bollywood actor Priyanshu Chatterjee (of the " Tum Bin" fame).

After returning to showbiz once her stint with notoriety was over, Monica did couple of TV shows like " Bigg Boss", and "Jhalak Dikhlaja", and also did some regional cinema-Nepali, Tamil and Bangla.

"But now it was time for me to come back home to Punjab. I was waiting eagerly to do a Punjabi film. I am so glad I am finally getting to do it," said Monica looking much slimmer and gorgeous than her earlier self.
