"Mustering up the courage to conceive an idea of a film, gathering resources to invest in the project, ensuring proper release dates and flow of money, roping in the actors and technicians...it is the producer who takes up the monumental risk and accomplishes the herculean task of producing a film. Yet, he is the one who is taken for granted and the most exploited member of the film unit, " Hema wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
"My heart reaches out to all those small and medium filmmakers who put up with the tantrums of every member of his unit. He is, after all, the reason why a film is even made..., " she further posted.
Hema has made "Tell Me O Kkhuda" for her daughter Esha Deol and she also roped in her actor husband, Dharmendra, to act in the film that tracks the story of a girl in search of her roots.
The cast includes Arjan Bajwa, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor. It will release Oct 27.
