The three-day show starts Wednesday at Dubai's Al Wasi stadium, said Vijay R. Singh, vice-chairman, Indian Household and Health Care Ltd - the "title sponsors" of the event. The awards ceremony would be held the next day, featuring 15 popular and eight technical categories in cinema, he said Monday.
"More than 200 actors and actresses have confirmed their participation," said Singh.
A mega auction of celebrity clothes and accessories is being planned to help in tsunami relief. The actors will also play football matches, he said.
More than 400 VIPs from India and members of UAE's royal family have been invited for the event.
