Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is wary about predicting the opening response for his "Page 3" but says that he
expects the film to grow on audiences as the days progress.
"It is not exactly an easy task pitching a Rs.25 million film like "Page 3" against a mammoth Rs.300
million-plus film like "Kisna". But every film has its own share of audiences," he says.
Whatever his apprehensions, the film's special screening at a Pune theatre last week was a hit with 900 people
trying to cram into the 400 seat hall.
"It was an incredible response by all means. The audience, comprising mostly youngsters, had their facts right
about the content of the film and were eagerly waiting for its screening... Well, that was Pune and I am
expecting a similar response wherever it is screened," says Bhandarkar.
Sahara One Pictures is said to be working on a special screening of "Page 3" in Mumbai. "The film is about the
page 3 circuit and their reaction to it is equally important," says the filmmaker.
