Pop star Justin Timberlake's grandmother would love him to marry his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears instead of current flame Cameron Diaz.

Sadie Bomar says Timberlake will always love Spears and she is desperate for him to return to the Toxic singer, teenhollywood.com reported.

The 70-year-old was shattered when the duo separated in 2002 and, despite reports that Spears cheated on Timberlake, she says the family would welcome Spears back.

"He was heartbroken when they split and he'll always love her. I didn't think Cameron was interested in getting married any time soon, I guess I was wrong," Bomar was quoted as saying.

"Britney would certainly be welcome back. We still adore her. It's sad. They were so much in love for so long. It seemed awfully sad to see them break up. I thought for a long time there was a chance they could get back on track. But obviously that wasn't to be."
