Produced by Rangita Pritish Nandy and Shabd is written and directed by debutante Leena Yadav. It tells the story of a gifted writer Shaukat (Sanjay Dutt) who finds himself battling the words he once lorded over.

His wife Antara (Aishwarya Rai) is a professor of fashion technology. Overawed and often overshadowed by Shaukat and his words, she embarks on a tumultuous journey of love, where she must love to express it, redefine it and more importantly choose it.

Shaukat's second novel has been rejected and now he is willing to put anything at stake to regain his grip on reality and the written word. Even his love.

In the meanwhile, Antara comes across Yash (Zayed Khan), a man who's impossible not to fall in love with. However she does not show any romantic inclination towards him until her husband Shaukat asks her to diabolically indulge in a relationship with Yash for the sake of his story.

Shaukat strongly believes that the real life escapades between Antara and Yash will add meat and heat to his story.

But little does Shaukat realize that in his process Antara is actually fascinated by Yash. And then comes the twist in his story that he hadn't anticipated. But by the time he tries to change the direction in which his novel (and also his real life) are heading into... it is a bit too late.
