The maestro will be accompanied by his associate Sivamani

A R Rahman will perform live in Mumbai on November 1. His long-term associate percussion guru Sivamani and music arranger Ranjit Barot will accompany him.

The Oscar winner will be in concert at the Bhavan's College grounds in Andheri. This is the first time that Rahman is doing a live gig for the music he has scored in the film Rockstar.

Says a source, "Director Imtiaz Ali only wanted Rahman to score the music and had waited for him as he was busy with his numerous other commitments. Rahman, is now, however, specially taking time off for the concert as the film is about a singer and his music."

Free invitations for the show will be distributed among the public and the show will also be telecast on the small screen on November 6.

Apart from Rahman, singer Mohit Chauhan who has sung in the film will also perform as well as Ranbir Kapoor. International artiste Alma Ferovic from Bosnia, who has lent her vocals in the movie is also being flown down for the concert.
