Says Arjun, "The idea is to bring together two glamorous high-profile events the Fornula 1 and entertainment evening by global icons—together. It's all Samir Kaul's brainchild. He suggested Formula 1 tie up with my club Lap. We are hosting the Formula 1 after-parties.
We're getting the best talent from all over the world. The whole world would be watching. On 29th we have Edward Maya and then 30th we have one of the world's biggest entertainers Lady Gaga at my club.
We've 45 models flying in from London. We've been preparing for three months. I want to show the world what India is capable of. The entire media from the world is here in Delhi now.
For a private club owner like me to get such a huge opportunity is not a joke. Next year I hope to make it even bigger. "
Getting Gaga was tough. Says Arjun, "I sent a proposal to her management. Then the discussions started. They knew they were going to be part of history. It just happened. Lady Gaga will be the solo performer. But for me the nicest thing is that all the deejays of club get to be a part of the event. "
Arjun's club will be hosting Formula One parties over the weekend where Edward Maya and Lady Gaga will perform on two consecutive nights.
Arjun has just completed Sudhir Mishra's film co-starring Chitrangda Singh. He has also gone into television for the first time and is shooting for a chat show called Love To Hate You.
"It will bring together a celebrity every week with a celebrity-hater someone who has opinion on the celebrity without verifying facts. Today there're so many avenues to get information on celebrities, not all of them accurate or even true. "
Arjun kickstarts the show by putting himself on the show with a journalist. "I've my share of opinionated critics. I've been called wooden and arrogant by people I had never met. But I don't want it to be just celebrities from the entertainment world. I also want sportspersons and politics. It's the first time I am hosting my own show. "
Speaking on the 8-hour ordeal on Heathrow Arjun said, "I had to sit at the airport for eight hours. Right now sleep and me are incompatible bed-fellows. I will be able to sleep only after Monday when the Formula 1 events are over.
